Jonathan Schey is a British writer / director based in London. He is a graduate of the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers and Studio Group. His short films, including I WANT TO BE HAPPY CHA CHA CHA and TOBY have screened at Academy / BAFTA-recognised festivals worldwide. Jack Thorne picked CHA CHA CHA as Film Of The Month on Shooting People and it’s listed on IMDB’s “Top 100 Shorts”.
His 2017 short THE ENTERTAINER starred Toby Jones. It was BIFA-nominated for Best British Short and won the Audience Award at Berlin British Shorts.
He directed S1 and S2 of the BBC THREE hit comedy series LADHOOD written by Liam Williams and produced by Joe Nunnery for BBC Studios.
In features, Jonathan is developing projects with Film4 and BBC Films.
He also has an original TV drama series in development with Sky Drama and Kudos. As well as a comedy series in development with Two Brothers Pictures (Fleabag)
